It's not that I am too busy to write a post or that it's not my priority, but I came across this post when looking through the CrossFit Affiliate Blog and thought it was amazing.
"168. What's special about this number? Well, here are a couple of hints... it never changes and it's the same for you and me. Got it yet? No? Okay, I'll fill you in. 168 is the number of hours in a week. Each and every week, month after month and year after year, you have 168 hours before you. How will you spend your time? Some things are inevitable - you gotta' sleep, and hopefully about 56-60 of your hours each week are spent doing just that because your body needs its rest. If you work, manage a home, or both, that's gonna' add up to at least 45-50 hours. Add the two and you still have 62 hours left. Okay, let's throw in 25 hours for errands and miscellaneous this and that and guess what? You're still left with 37 hours! Do you see where I'm going with this? The number one reason people say they don't exercise is that they "don't have the time." Oh really? We all have 168 hours in a week and why is it that some people have time to exercise and others don't? It's because their fitness and health is a priority and they find the time. Let's face it. We do have a choice when it comes to how we spend most of our 168 hours. So, what's it gonna' be this week? Will you choose to get up and break a sweat with some great workouts? We sure hope so."
Some mornings when it's cold out, afternoon/evenings when I have had a crappy day or just when my body feels "too" sore, I talk myself right out of going to the gym- what's your excuse and what can we do to help you over the hurdle and benefiting from your 168?! Remember you are important and worth the time, some days CFS might be the only thing you get to do for YOU.
Early morning Saturday class working through their priority~ Great lunge JULIA!

This is a great post! Juggling between work and school, both full-time is hard, I always have to plan out when I can squeeze in my WOD and make time for it because working out is the only time I have for myself therefore a definite priority! =)
Working out with great trainers and people make it so much more enjoyable!!!

It's funny my greatest times come from my worst days because I'm more determined on finishing the WOD and nothing else. But my greatest motivator to keep coming is community I have joined by going day in and day out. You guys are great and thanks again for all that donated to the polar bear plunge.

I am constantly telling friends and coworkers to make time for themselves. Exercise is a great way to relieve stress!
They say time, kids and money are the issues that hold them back. I say BS! I think CrossFitters are generally healthier and HAPPIER (depending on the WOD) people. STOP MAKING EXCUSES

Even though we are tortured, I absolutely enjoy every moment when I am at CFS! I make time to go because that is the only free time I get to myself, kind of, cause my daughter sometimes comes with me....so thanks to all of you for making her laugh and feel welcome, feel free to whip her into shape if need be (squats, burpees, etc...) :)

HAHAHA! Mo's "SIZZLE". I LOVE IT!
HI RUINER!!!!!!!!!! dude. kimchi smell perhaps? lol.
168, huh? feels like 20 minutes sometimes. and 50-60hrs of sleep? feels more like 5-6 per week. haha!
Exercise. Period. You have one life, one body and one chance. If you don't take your car in for tune ups and oil changes and the occasional wash (gizzle) it's going to end up in a lonely lot somewhere for parts...if that.
And eat well...not buffet style but as in lean meats, fruits, veggies...little starch and no sugar. If you have health complications like diabetes or high blood, think of what your exercise and eating habits were like before you were diagnosed. Lots of sugar? High sodium? Little to no exercise? Start early, save yourself the trouble and get healthy. Even after complications you can maintain healthy levels if you start eating healthy and exercising.
