CrossFit Solano Kids

  • CrossFit Kids (CFK) combines gymnastics, body weight calisthenics, and weightlifting elements to develop capacity across ten general physical skills: cardio-respiratory endurance, power, strength, stamina, speed, agility, flexibility, balance, accuracy, and co- ordination. The elements are combined to keep children engaged and entertained, while teaching them proper movement technique and creating a broad athletic foundation. For CFK, it is imperative to pair fitness and fun, to create a lifelong love of health and fitness for our children.

Hey Lisa, just wondering how your walk is going. Not sure if you are checking the post, but if so, we all wish you well.
Next year we need to at least put together an affiliate team, who is in?

Hey when is everybody doing their final weigh ins for the challenge? Is tomorrow night (Monday) fine for me to do it?......Not going to be around on Tuesday. Lo, DJ, anybody?
Thanks

lo

Hey Bob- I hope you don't think I am ignoring you, I have commented back other times you have asked, the final day to weigh in is scheduled to be 7/15. If you can't make it in then Monday is fine. Good luck, it has been exciting to see people lose weight and PR....you should all give yourselves a pat on the back!

No, I know you did Lo....I was just making sure it was OK to do it on MONDAY evening since we are going to be out of town the rest of the week.

Hope you guys are having a good time!

Well I finished the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer today and I am whooped!! Yesterday we started at 7:00 am from Golden Gate Park and headed toward the Golden Gate Bridge. We walked across the bridge into Fort Baker and then into Sausalito. After Sausalito I left my fellow walkers and joined the other 2800 walkers to complete the 26.2 miles. I was nervous since I hadn’t trained for the walk this year; however, to my surprise Crossfit has done me some real good! I completed the marathon an hour and a half earlier this year than last year and felt pretty good. WHOO HOO, GO CROSSFIT!!

Today we returned to the city to walk another 13.1 miles throughout San Francisco. Let’s just say I don’t really think there is much flat land in San Francisco because we went up so many hills and I mean STEEP hills. We walked a little slower today due to being sore but we barreled though it and finished around 1:30pm. I was so happy to be done!!

I am very sore and have soaked in the tub but nothing seems to be doing the trick to ease these stiff and sore muscles!! Not sure if I will make it to Crossfit tomorrow as I think my body needs a day of rest!! Thank you all for your support and I’m glad you all had a great time at the games!!!

Suz

Good job Lisa!! Try soaking in an Epsom salt bath for your tired muscles..See ya Tuesday!

Cindy

Great Job Lisa! That's a lot of walking!
Hope to see you at the gym soon.
