Folks that are going to Sectionals please leave in comments what time you plan on coming to the box tomorrow. DJ's trying to put a video together and wants to get you all on film.
How many of you wrote on the Goal Board "Get a muscle-up", "improve running", "kipping pull-ups", "strict pull-ups" etc... How many of you are actually practicing what you want to achieve? If you are shooting for a goal, start working on it! If there are pull-ups in the warm-up don't use the band, just work on your kip, if you have the option to run or row in the warm up but running is really hard for you, take it slow and work on your breathing and form. A few times during the week there are about 5-10 minutes after class when you could practice something plus you are always welcome to stay after. Better yet you can dedicate your entire rest day to just "practicing what you suck at!" Ask trainers for help, guidance and evaluation- the only way to reach your goal is to actually work on it. LET'S HIT THOSE 2010 GOALS!
This guy shows us why it's always important to practice with a partner or trainer. (If you click on the video and go to VIMEO'S site the guy who posted this video writes a review of his progress. It's pretty funny because I know we've all been there. I dig his honesty.)

As he fell, I started laughing but only because it happened in slow motion. Hehe. It brings back so many memories of using bands for HSPUs....

DJ & Lo,
I talked with Matt via skype tonight & he shared with me that some of the guys that are on this trip with him were razzin him about his CF gear that he wears & how much he talks about it... Well, I thought you might get a kick out this.... ;)
Matt took one of his coworkers to do a CrossFit workout earlier today, who happened to be "curious" what CF was all about. So, Matt gave him a little "sampler"...
Matt had him take a 45 lb plate and had him do 40 feet lunges, 25 air squats, 20 burpees ~ AMRAP in 20 minutes...poor guys legs were "wrecked"...after the workout he ended up puking...LOL ;)
But guess what? He wants to do another workout tomorrow!! So, I'll keep you guys posted on that goes...hehe... Possible new recruit?? We shall see... ;)
