Now a days we are all busy. We can't miss work like we used too (especially when we hear friends, family and co-workers are getting laid off), we have families that must be cared for, homes that that need to be maintained and children that need rides to and from school as well as from their extra curricular activities...I get that we are all BUSY. I would like to also point out and counter that CrossFit Solano is open 40 hours a week and 2,080 hours a year...so where are you?! For those of you who do not know we offer a 6:00am class Monday, Wednesday and Friday allowing you to come in and WOD before the rush of the day even starts. If that is too early for you, we also offer a 7:00pm class allowing you to get off work, throw something in the oven and get to the gym. Of course there are classes in between.
Choose what to do with your time what you will, but remember how good you feel after a WOD, how productive you are after and how wonderfully you sleep. There are 168 hours in week- you can't find one hour to come to CFS?
Getting acquainted with the Hang Power Clean...
I would like to point out that it "sounds" really "cool" and loud- this is because of the wooden floor and her shoes. You do not need to jump and slam your feet into the ground. I have seen lifts where people are more concerned with mimicking the sound then following through with the lift. Focus on where the bar is, when the lift happens, where the bar lands and how she finishes the movement standing tall with her hips open.
WOD for 03/11/2010
Hang Cleans 3,3,3,3,3

I make the sound because it's "bad ass" ;)
p.s. I personally just wanted to let our blog stalkers and long, lost members know that we're here to help you with your fitness goals. I, for one, really enjoy helping you all. I miss those I haven't seen for a long time and for whatever reason you decided to go on hiatus, please reconsider.
And for those on the fence, take it from an average Joe: yes this all looks intimidating (my first exposure was watching the "Nasty Girls WOD--thanks, honey) but anyone can do it. We don't expect you to roll up in here and lift a million pounds--right now. ;) But we'll work on everything together. We'll walk you through the basics, coach you through your work outs and watch you grow in to someone stronger, faster and healthier than you have probably ever been--or have been in a long time.

We seem to manage with four active teenagers. Of course they all do Crossfit with us now..LOL...We do have softball starting so the next three months will be an interesting juggle! But it is a priority in our house so somehow we will get there!

Dear Air Force,
Stop taking me away from my buddies at CFS. It is hard to keep myself motivated when I am always on hiatus. Thanks.
Love,
Caroline

Dear Joshua,
Trina wanted to know why you were hiding from her this morning. She said something like "best two out of three" I think as it stands you all are tied.

Dear Syd,
HAHAHAHA! I'm 27 and 28 in 4 months...and I'm still in my parents' hair. You will FOREVER be in your parents hair--but you won't yet understand that until you have children of you own. But you're so sweet to say that. :) I *heart* the L/H kids.
