After a few hard workouts how could you not be excited about a day of rest!
For those interested, Kenny, Lori and Care Bear are going to make up the Lumberjack 20 from the last cycle at 6pm- show up on time and ready to set up your weights.
I came across this today, via Facebook, and thought it was very straight forward and a great answer/rebuttal to all of you who have those friends who say "you're crazy", "you're weird", "I am not training for anything, why should I CrossFit..." So, here is your response, go ahead, copy and paste where ever you would like and tell them the next On-Ramp Session starts March 9th, but if they prefer a taste of the koolaide first (Suz, yes we have sugar free) they can come to the First Sunday of the Month Free Class March 7th at 10am!!
"To Be or Not To Be (a CrossFitter)"
We get asked a lot “How much does it cost to join?” A better question is “How much will it cost you NOT to?” We aren’t a traditional gym, if that is what you are looking for…don’t come here. Our only machines are our members, our only creed “Don’t quit, Don’t stop, NEVER Cheat!” You have to step UP to be a CrossFitter! Is that an Elitist attitude? I guess to some it would be but it is not from our perspective. CrossFit is special to us, it matters and so does our health and our life and our families, unlike some of the smoking, drinking donut eating couch potatoes that would rather bitch than work. Our members are special people because they care enough to get past the money issues, the circumstances (like work, time schedules or any other excuse), and the pain it takes to get through some of the WODS. Yes we CrossFit and we will never go back to the traditional way simply because it doesn't’ work…want proof? Ask your friends that go to the gym the last time they improved their work capacity, or hit their goals consistently. Ask them what it would feel like to get the result they dreamed of but can’t ever seem to attain. Ask them how much they have spent at a traditional gym over the last few years and quit…over and over and over again. Ask them if the gym they go to or the trainer they use is willing to put their money where their mouth is and give a money back guarantee if they don’t hit their goals. Ask them the last time they could remember getting an adrenaline rush in the morning because they knew the workout they would do that evening and all they could think of was how they couldn’t wait to get there to take it on one more time…then come CrossFit and ask any of our members the same questions and listen to the difference. Ask them when the last time the gym they go to called them if they didn’t come in for a week or put up a club challenge to keep the world of exercise fresh and fun. For the most part it doesn’t happen that way. Here and in CrossFit it does, every athlete in our gym journals EVERY workout…why? BECAUSE THEY CARE and know if they don’t they are just wasting their time, if you can’t measure it you can’t manage it and then it is just something you hope happens. Well hope is great but it won’t get that ass off of you and it won’t get that gut off of you and it won’t lower your blood pressure or maybe even help you get off of some of your medications but CrossFit does and will do those things…so if you call or email wanting to know the price without coming in to see what and who we are…save your time and don’t waste ours because you aren’t committed enough to be CrossFit? However if you saw anything in what was said and you do want more for your life, then you can bet that ass or gut of yours you have found a place to get rid of it forever. CrossFit changes lives! Is your life worth changing?

Kenny!! Sorry this is really late, but when I told you what time I worked Thursday I told you what time I worked NEXT Thursday :\ I will be in the gym tomorrow morning at 9 instead of 5. Hopefully I will see you there to do the lumberjack!
