Warm ups are important, just as important as the workout itself. Often times the warm up is selected based on what the WOD is, for example, if there is a lot of running in the WOD we may start with some running drills to loosen up our joints, quads, hamstrings, calves and hips, we may also do some good mornings and leg stretches. Often times stretching can be left out of the equation, however, this is not always good and is based on helping everyone stay on the one hour time frame. I encourage everyone to stretch. If you aren't sure of how/what to stretch please ask a Rowbot, Matty P or myself for some assistance. You can also google ideas depending on what your needs are. You should stretch before and after the WOD. By improving your flexibility, you will improve your over all performance.
Have you seen these by the wall balls? I swear they work. I haven't had a sciatic problem since using them!
I know, the video is boring, but watch where/what she does with the ball. You can put the ball anywhere: glutes, sciatic, hips, pecs, arms, wrists, hamstrings etc...the list goes on. Think of a kink in a hose, less water runs through the hose when there is a kink, however when it is worked out the water flows better/stronger. The same can be said about our muscles, if there is a kink, it needs to be worked out to improve our flexibility thus helping us improve our WODs!

Nice job today Seth, Joey, and Taryn! Crossfit Solosto did a great job even added in a little extra running just to show off. Congrats Taryn on 3rd place. You did great! Which one of you came up with new name? I like it.
