As many of you have noticed Carl and DJ are working hard to pass on the information they learned from the Olympic Cert to all of us; this means extra practice during warm-ups with lifts and possibly adding a few more weight days a week (no, we are not turning into a strength and conditioning gym, we are just going to utilize the full hour, so when there is a relatively short WOD, we will practice a lift first).
That being said, for those that can, I recommend getting some lifting shoes. Not just because Carl and DJ attended a certification, but those that have them and use them can tell you, THEY MAKE A DIFFERENCE. I am not saying you have to get these shoes specifically, but here are a couple I would recommend looking into:

"Answering the call to bring style and functionality together in a single pair of weightlifting shoes, the Rogues are simply the meanest weightlifting shoes ever developed.
These have been redesigned from the ground up to offer better breath ability by using mesh inserts and greater stability from two shorter velcro tarsal straps and a lower heel, when compared to the regular Do-Wins." RougeFitness.com

Dear Trina,
My name is Polio. I represent Josh's legs. I regret to inform you that due to a relapse I have taken over Josh's legs (again). Therefore any and all competitions must cease until further notice. I will be in touch with you at a later time to resume the contest during an event Josh is sure to win. Thank you for your time and understanding in this matter.
Sincerely,
Polio (the disease)
